Jun 22, 2021 · She wrote in a letter to her nanny Mary Clarke in December 1978: "I hated going to the finishing school except for skiing.” Institut Alpin Videmanette, which closed in 1991, was an all-girl school where pupils were taught skiing, cooking, dressmaking and French.
From the age of 12 she attended the exclusive West Heath Girls School in Kent, where again she was not the best student. She failed all of her O-levels twice and dropped out at the age of 16. Then she tried a finishing school , Institut Alpin Videmanette, in Rougemount, Switzerland. But she quit again, this time after a single term.
