Such a pleasant surprise. At times Sewing Machine feels like the clone copy of so many other Chinese comedies over the years, funny in a slapstick kind of way, but fails to transmit anything significant and grows tiring fast, but as the story builds and characters build up you realize it is a film that is simply full of heart.
