Dunman Secondary School was one of the first Integrated Schools in Singapore, and it was the first with triple integration. To showcase this milestone, the club has designated a multi-racial garden where herbs and spices commonly used by the three majority ethnic groups of Singaporeans are planted and showcased.
In 1970, Dunman Secondary School was the only school that performed the finale called ‘Fountain of Youth’ at the National Day Parade. In the following decade, many important school-based initiatives were introduced to ensure a healthy organizational culture – for example, Dunman was the first school to introduce heads of department to better serve the needs of staff and students.
