It was well known from 1960-80 for it’s electronics industry. It’s nicknamed the Apple City, because it’s humid climate is perfect for growing quality apples.

You have the option of hiking to the top, a very steep climb that takes only about 30-45 minutes, or taking the Apsan cable car which is 10,500 won per person.
