Frederick Samuel Fish. Clement Studebaker Jr. Products. Automobiles (originally wagons, carriages and harnesses) Studebaker was an American wagon and automobile manufacturer based in South Bend, Indiana, with a building at 1600 Broadway, Times Square, Midtown Manhattan, New York City.
Today, Studebaker is fondly remembered for the curvy, sweeping designs of the Starlight, Champion and Commander models of the late 1940s and 1950s. Studebaker merged with luxury automaker Packard in the late 1950s; Packard soon folded thereafter.
