Bou-Ismaïl est située sur le littoral à 45 Km à l’Ouest d'Alger et à 25 km à l’Est du chef-lieu de wilaya Tipasa. Elle est limitée à l’Est par la commune de Fouka, au sud par les communes de Koléa et Chaiba et enfin à l’Ouest par les communes de Khemisti et de BouHaroun : petites villes portuaires.
