Completed for fall 2022 move-in, the Thurston Hall renovation provides students with a healthy and modern home for living and learning while still fostering what Thurston does best — build community for GW generations of students.
Built in 1929, renovated in 2022. 9 Residential Floors. A GW dining hall located in the basement. 16 study lounges throughout entire building. Penthouse study lounge with view of the Washington Monument. Central courtyard that will provide study, and hangout space for students.
Thurston Hall is a first-year residence hall and GW icon. The building received a large-scale renovation prior to the 2022-2023 school year to focus on community and sustainability. It also opened with a LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
