May 31, 2017 · SINGAPORE - Downtown Line 3, to open on Oct 21, will double the length of the existing MRT line, adding an additional 16 stations stretching 21km across the eastern side of the island.
When this Downtown Line is completed, it will become the world’s longest driverless underground mass rapid transit line. Every day it will move more than 500,000 riders, and it will make it faster and easier for families in the eastern and northwestern parts of Singapore to travel to the city centre and to the rest of Singapore.
