Clicking the torrent will download the torrent file into your computer's download folder whereas selecting magnet directly opens the Bit Torrent/uTorrent tab to initiate the download. I usually prefer magnet because its quicker.
Jul 12, 2021 · Keep in mind that nowadays most people do not recommend using uTorrent and BitTorrent clients, there are far better open source torrent clients you should be using. e.g. BiglyBT. Deluge. FrostWire (also see r/FrostWire) PicoTorrent. qBittorrent (also see r/qBittorrent) Transmission. qBittorrent, Deluge, Transmission, tend to be the popular ones.

Both the top & bottom of these longer lines with links (there's only about 5 of these long lines total) start with 'magnet'. Click either and it will prompt to open torrent in whatever program you have set to DL torrents. Ive only tried in 'movies', but pretty sure it should work in every category.
Feb 9, 2024 · Possible fix for VPN pop-up. (Worked for me.) -Right click on "download without vpn". -Open link in new tab. -Accept. -Wait. Or use Brave.. The next thing to do for smart folks from 1337x after reading this post and similar ones will be blocking right-click on magnet links. Thank you!
May 19, 2022 · 29 votes, 222 comments. true. i fixed this issue by when the pop up pops up that says "Download without vpn" or "get free vpn" Just right click on "download without VPN" click copy link which copies the url magnet for the download and paste that into any browser (works on chrome) which then allows you to download the torrent.
