Dec 29, 2003 · Bob Monkhouse passes away. Bob Monkhouse has passed away this morning after a two and a half year fight against cancer. I for one regardeded him as one of the very best, no one could beat his excellent timing and incredible wit. Its a very sad day for fans of comedy.
Jan 4, 2011 · The impression, probably unintentionally, was given that The Golden Shot began with Bob Monkhouse as host but that dubious honour was actually given to Canadian actor/producer Jackie Rae, who presented the first 14 shows. TBH he never really looked comfortable and BM lifted it several notches when he took over.
May 30, 2006 · Bob Monkhouse's grandfather was the founder of Monk & Glass custard powder firm, I can see the packet now, it was yellow and had a monk in a brown habit carrying a glass dish of custard. We nearly always had M & G when I was a child but I think the firm must have been merged with another as it seemed to disappear.
Feb 6, 2011 · The Secret Life of Bob Monkhouse (BBC2) His wife is no longer with us. As far as I can tell his daughter is OK with people not liking her Dad's act or him. There are plenty of people who did like and respected him, especially within the field of entertainment.
Mar 15, 2012 · Forsyth and Tarbuck were regular hosts of the show, Monkhouse was a guest compere, and Wisdom also played a prominent part in it. That picture shows part of the last performance of the show in 1967 (though it was later revived for a couple of years in the early 1970s), and doesn't really tell us anything about how the men felt about one another, since they were paid as performers to be there.

Feb 5, 2011 · The fascinating thing about the programme "The Secret Life of Bob Monkhouse" is the incredible archive he kept ,which no-one else did, of British TV shows. Obsessive about it, he was. He kept stuff on film and later video that BBC/ITV channels destroyed and that archive has to be preserved. So, whether you liked him or not - I found his screen ...
