Leonard Lionel Cornelius Canegata (March 3, 1907 – May 9, 1952), known professionally as Canada Lee, was an American professional boxer and actor who pioneered roles for African Americans.

He had made his last public appearance — at a rally protesting the murder of two black men by a white former policeman — less than a month before.
