It's very British in the way it's so matter of fact about a corpse, but it's a rather cute little comedy.

Have long disliked some of those from the 50's like Gary Merrill, Barry Sullivan, Barry Nelson, Ralph Meeker,, Hugh Marlowe. Shocked and saddened that Joan Blondell would even be mentioned once here!

  4. Apr 14, 2020 · Giant Ant Movie (1954) Just watched this on TCM. Great post-nuclear war fallout movie fun. And damn - James Arness was one hot piece in his prime! 6' 6 1/2", broad shoulders, handsome face. I'd have climbed all over that back in the day! One of my favorite scifi movies! A classic!

It was in Boston, while it still starred George Sanders, who left before the show transferred to New York. Best thing in it was the score by Laurence Rosenthal.

Norma Shearer turned down “Mrs. Miniver”, because she didn’t want to portray the mother of an older teenager. Garson played all the Norma Shearer roles.
