After a mission to rescue a hostage in Barcelona, Mallory is quickly dispatched on another mission to Dublin.
It also demonstrates Soderberg's ability to move between genres with ease, segueing from world threatening virus thriller to action film. Haywire is not the most remarkable of films, working well within the standard genre framework, but manages to be entertaining none the less.

At the end of the movie, a woman is seen in a bikini. Several prolonged scenes of kissing. A man and woman talk for a moment and he teases her gently about working alone. She comes up and playfully unbuckles his belt in response. The two begin kissing modestly and nothing at all scandalous follows.
