Feb 9, 2019 · I was one of the guys who hyped up Kevin to be champ. Even after he lost to Tony because Tony was still Tony at that point. The Kevin Lee story is kinda sad because he had good mix of talent, explosive ability and hard work. Then his main coach and father figure died. Then he went to a gym not suitable for him. And then he blew both his knees out.

Jan 22, 2018 · Don't get me wrong, I actually like Fighter Kevin Lee well enough and I kinda I hope he makes it back. I just don't like the idea of him taking a spot from a hungry young prospect. If he wants to get back to the UFC, there is a path, but it doesn't lead through the Contender Series. I could see him competing on a another comeback season of TUF.

Nov 28, 2022 · Lee was maybe overrated at a time, and he definitely struggled with the mental side of things, but he had clear and obvious talent as a fighter. He entered the UFC as an inexperienced kid and has several good wins. He beat Prazeres at 23 years old (Prazeres would go on to win his next 8 fights).
Oct 7, 2007 · Damn he's only 32. It's too bad because the guy really had potential. If Kevin Lee wants to fight on the contender series more power him He simply doesn't deserve a shot on the Contender Series. He is 2-5 in his last 7 and hasn't fought since losing in one minute.

Jan 8, 2013 · For my money it's Kevin Lee, Edson Barboza, or Michael Johnson. When Kev was on he was on, and beat some solid fighters (Barboza, Chiesa, Trinaldo, Gillespie). At times, he looked like a world-beater. Always lost to the best though, and it usually wasn't close. Barboza has been around forever and also, at times, looked like a world beater.

Aug 8, 2018 · Was Kevin Lee too boastful? Yes Was he overated sometimes? Yes But the guy made it farther in the UFC then the vast majority of competitors let alone MMA in general. Some of y'all need to train and take a hard sparring session to appreciate what these men and women go through.
