Kinski is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. They have released eight albums, a number of split albums and EP. [1] Career. They formed in 1998 in a pub, when bartender and drummer Dave Weeks overheard a conversation between two customers, Chris Martin (guitar) and Lucy Atkinson (bassist) about analog recording.
Kinski is a four-piece rock band from Seattle, WA. The band follows their instincts to explore pathways from visceral guitar rock, to sonic and heady avant-psych rock, and sparse, atmosphere-bending instrumentals.

Jun 21, 2024 · Many will recall Scott and Rusty’s 1980’s Seattle bands Room Nine and Pure Joy, and later Rusty of course with one of the greatest NW bands of all time FLOP. This is a kick off for Vashon Island’s Strawberry Festival, a midsummer classic on the island.
What conclusions do you draw from the fact that Kinski has toured with Oneida, Acid Mothers and Tool? That they’re open-minded and up for rock & roll adventure. Surprise! What great band isn’t? Really, even their names are in your other hand, on the CD; am I to waste precious space repeating them here?

Kinski are a instrumental band influenced by different genres and bands most notably Minimalism, Krautrock, Stoner, Post-Rock and Metal bands and artists. Chris Martins, Lucy Atkinson and Dave Weeks spontaneously met in a Seattle pub. The band then started to play live and released their 1999 debut, "Space Launch for Frenchie" as a trio.
