Marc van Warmerdam (Haarlem/The Netherlands, April 13 1954) is a Dutch film and theatre producer. He is leading the Amsterdam based music/theatre company Orkater.
The independent film company Graniet Film was founded in 1995 by producer Marc van Warmerdam and director Alex van Warmerdam. It resulted in nationally and internationally acclaimed films, including The Dress (1986), Borgman (2013 - official selection Palme D'or Cannes) and No. 10 (2021 – selection Tallinn Black Nights).
Marc van Warmerdam is known as an Producer, Actor, and Co-Producer. Some of his work includes Borgman, Donbass, Schneider vs. Bax, Waiter, Angel, No. 10, and Valse wals.
In 1980, he founded the theatre group De Mexicaanse Hond (The Mexican Dog), together with his brother Marc van Warmerdam. This is the name under which all the shows since 1989 have been released.
