Said policy also states that special leave privileges ...

  2. Jan 10, 2024 · Audioholic Spartan. Jan 10, 2024. #4. Just use the calibration available on the Denon for setting level and distance for each speaker/subwoofer, and is easier than using REW. With REW you can try out various placements of speakers/subwoofer to find something that works well, and then run the Denon calibration (Audyssey) again. And remeasure.

  3. Apr 15, 2004 · Audioholic Intern. I purchased and returned the Velodyne SPL-1200 series II in favor of the Paradigm Seismic 12. Maybe it is just my environment, but in my opinion the Seismic 12 is far superior and it is also easier to get a better price on it. The low frequency authority and the overall sound of the Seismic 12 is spectacular.

  4. Dec 6, 2007 · For example let's look at the SPL vs. Freq. Chart here: SPL vs. Freq chart From reading the graph it looks like I see the following: 1. From 70Hz to 20KHz I see several readings down to 80 ish db. 2. From 70Hz to 20KHz I see a couple of peaks around 90 ish dB. 3. From 70Hz to 60Hz there is a steep drop-off in SPL db.

  5. Feb 24, 2012 · Most of the SPL meters under $100 MSRP are more limited on the bandwidth like from 125Hz-8kHz, and accuracy is +/-2dB, increments 0.5dB. The Sinometer on Amazon retail @ $200, price @ $88. Bandwidth is 31.5Hz-8.5kHz, accuracy is +/-1.5dB, increments 0.1dB. Sinometer JTS1357 Digital Sound Level Meter: Amazon.com: Home Improvement.

  6. Nov 9, 2020 · Audioholic Overlord. Nov 10, 2020. #7. Speedskater said: Note that there are differences between 'SPL' meters and 'cal mics'. The old Radio Shack analog 'SPL' meters were accurate. Mine is a digital version but in the old days, there were links on HTS to calculate the sensitivity roll off the RS meter.

  7. Jul 2, 2012 · The indoor SPL levels are considered to be a corner loaded subwoofer which puts the sub in 1 meter 1/8th space which adds +18dB over a 1m anechoic (free space) measurement. We are considering the listening distance from the subwoofer as being roughly 4 meters in most cases which drops the spl by 12dB (18-12= +6dB at this point.)

  8. May 28, 2008 · It sounds like you have an analog SPL meter. 0 on the scale of the meter means the SPL reading is exactly at the range you set. If you set the range to 70, when the pointer is at 0 the SPL is 70 dB. If the pointer is at +5 the SPL is 75 dB, etc. You aren't entering offsets to compensate. You adjust the channel levels until the meter reads your ...

  9. Jan 13, 2017 · Internal test tone usually is at the proper level of -30dB spl FS. Most DVDs are the same or not. With the internal test tone, the master volume either automatically goes to 0 ( ref level) nor it may need to be set there manually. Then, the speakers are trimmed to 75 dB on all at the center listening seat.

  10. Sep 5, 2007 · When testing the frequency response the SPL vs frequency is plotted as in avaserfi's original post. To simplify it, let's say we test 100 Hz, 1000 Hz, and 10,000 Hz. We feed it each frequency one at a time at a standard level. If the 100 Hz tone yields 100 dB, the 1000 Hz tone yields 97 dB, and the 10,000 Hz tone yields 102 dB, then the range ...
