Sep 8, 2023 · Emmett Kelly is still celebrated in his hometown of Houston, Texas County, Missouri. Family has been there since the 1860s. We played in his eponymous park many times when growing up. And there's an annual Emmett Kelly Clown Festival, and since 2004 the park has a nine-hole golf course, too!

Penn was "married" (in name only) to actress Gladys George. They would divorce in the 1940's. George was an alcoholic and Penn was bisexual.

After her death, her record for this particular service was released publicly and it showed she had been treated for this malady which resulted in a disciplinary action. However, what wasn’t discussed was how she contracted it.
