Feb 28, 2024 · I have found an alternative for creating a straight line within snip tool if this is all you require. if you hold down the SHIFT key as you create the line it will snap at 45 degree increments. This also applies for the arrow function, the rectangle will retain a square aspect ratio when shift is held. I hope this helps!
Sep 9, 2024 · If your keyboard doesnt have prtscn key then try opening On-Screen Keyboard. Search On-Screen Keyboard from windows search bar. On-Screen Keyboard will be open. Sep 24, 2019 · Shift+WinKey+S opens Snip & Sketch. Make your snip, which goes into the Clipboard. A notice of it also immediately goes into the Action Center. Click that notice, & the snip will reopen into Snip & Sketch. Draw on it, if desired. Click the Save icon (disk) at top right to save it to the Pictures folder.
Nov 4, 2023 · I will first recommend that you reset or repair the Snipping Tool. Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > click 3 dots on the side of Snipping Tool > click Advanced options > click Reset or Repair. I hope this helps. PrtScrn can be reverted to "the old Print Screen" by changing a setting in Accessibility>Keyboard: "Use the Print Screen key to open Snipping Tool" SET it to OFF. This lets PrintScreen operate the old way (in Win11) and as a side benefit doesn't compress the image like Snip.
