Rachel Jane Reeves (born 13 February 1979) is a British politician who has served as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer since 2021 and was Member of Parliament (MP) for Leeds West from 2010 to 2024. Reeves studied at New College, Oxford, and the London School of Economics before working at the Bank of England and then HBOS.
