BEIJING—Covington’s Sean Stein, co-chair of the firm’s China Public Policy group, has been elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham China).
AmCham Shanghai is pleased to announce that Sean Stein, a senior advisor at Covington and Burling and a former US Consul General in Shanghai, has been elected as the Chairman of the Chamber. Sean, who also served as the US Consul General in Shenyang, was a US diplomat for over 20 years.
Sean Stein is a senior advisor in Covington’s Public Policy Practice Group. Prior to joining Covington, Sean served as the U.S. Consul General in Shanghai. He has over twenty years of diplomatic experience in Asia and has served in leadership positions in China, Washington, and the region.
