Can’t speak for everyone but I remember specifically avoiding it because I thought it was one of those corny scary movie clones that got done to death in the late 2000’s, mostly cause the title is a direct parody of the Justin Bieber never say never movie.
The first like two thirds of the movie are basically every Sandler comedy flick most people have grown to hate and for a lot of people seeing that isn't worth the other more emotional third half. There's a scene where Sandler stops time and just farts in someone's face,the dog is constantly trying to fuck a toy and so much more.
