Principal’s Message. Dear Parents, Students and Partners of Yishun Secondary School, As we begin 2024, I would like to thank all parents, students and stakeholders for working closely with us last year in providing quality education to all Yishunites.
Yishun Town Secondary School (YTSS) was established in January 1986 with nine classes and 13 pioneer teachers. It shared premises with Yishun Secondary School before moving into the campus at Yishun Street 21 on 31 March 1988.

The Direct School Admission-Secondary (DSA-Sec) scheme provides students with the opportunity to seek admission to a secondary school, based on a diverse range of specific academic and non-academic achievements and talents that they can demonstrate beyond the PSLE.
Yishun Secondary School (YSS) is a co-educational government secondary school in Yishun, Singapore. Located at 4 Yishun Street 71, YSS is the first school to establish the Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in Sonic Arts.
In line with YTSS' vision of a well-rounded education, the four arrows represent the development of the heart, body, mind and soul while the circle symbolises the ultimate goal of a well-rounded pupil. The blue background represents a peaceful and harmonious school atmosphere.
