Wrexham William Forrester (1930-2000) was a Scottish-American author who wrote the 1954 Pulitzer Prize-winning book Avalon Landing. William Forrester was born in Dranmurie, Scotland in 1930, the child of a local school teacher and his wife.
Plot. In the Bronx, sixteen-year-old Jamal Wallace downplays his potential as a gifted student, preferring to play basketball with his friends. They are watched by William Forrester, a recluse who never leaves his apartment and has become a neighborhood urban legend.
