Rick Hoffman (born June 12, 1970 [2]) is an American actor. He is known for playing Jerry Best in the Fox sitcom The Bernie Mac Show (2002–2005), Chase Chapman in the ABC comedy series Samantha Who? (2007–2009) and Louis Litt in the USA Network legal drama series Suits (2011–2019).
Richard Hoffman is author of the memoirs Half the House and Love & Fury; the poetry collections, Without Paradise; Gold Star Road, winner of the 2006 Barrow Street Press Poetry Prize and the 2008 Sheila Motton Award from the New England Poetry Club; Emblem; Noon until Night, awarded The Massachusetts Book Award. in 2018.
