C. V. Kumar is the founder of Thirukumaran Entertainment and the producer of several successful Tamil films, such as Pizza, Soodhu Kavvum and Maayavan. He is also a writer, director and actor who has appeared in some of his own productions.

By 2005, Kumar was well-versed with animation, sound design, and branding, while he additionally also took scriptwriting classes.
