Eumir Deodato de Almeida (Brazilian Portuguese: [ẽwˈmiʁ deoˈdatu]; born 22 June 1943) is a Brazilian pianist, composer, arranger and record producer, primarily in jazz but who has been known for his eclectic melding of genres, such as pop, rock, disco, rhythm and blues, classical, Latin and bossa nova.

  2. Deodato also contributed some keyboard playing; he is the added player in the acoustic piano duet that concludes the master take of 'Tema Jazz'. That segment - played simultaneously on two different pianos (Jobim in the right channel and Deodato in the left), with no overdubs - was omitted from the original release by an early fadeout.
