Copper Mountain is a mountain and ski resort located in Summit County, Colorado, about 75 miles (120 km) west of Denver on Interstate 70. The resort has 2,465 acres (3.9 sq mi; 10.0 km 2 ) of in-bounds terrain under lease from the U.S. Forest Service , White River National Forest , Dillon Ranger District.

Copper Mountain is a good ski area for blue square and green dot skiers. As with other ski resorts, a few of the trails do stretch the qualifications of blue or green (here's looking at you Jaque's Pique's mogel-y run!) so be sure of your confidence in speed control. We stayed in Center Village without a car for 4 days.

Copper Mountain is one of the absolute best ski resorts in the state of Colorado. This gem has been a local’s favorite for decades and with good reason. Few other places offer such an incredible mix of terrain.
Copper Mountain, run by Powdr Corp, a Utah based company after Intrawest sold the resort in December 2009, is well-known for its naturally segregated terrain. On one end of the mountain, there are beginner trails, in the middle there are intermediate trails, and on the other side expert trails.
