Orbit Logic was founded in 2000, by Alexander (Alex) Herz, Ella Herz, and Peter Douglass (Doug) George. In the mid- to late 1990s, Alex took a job as director of ground systems with Omitron Inc. at Goddard Space Flight Center, while Ella went on to work as a quality assurance manager at L3 Technologies Storm Control Systems.
