On the first of February, Cabello posted an eight-second video of her with a new look along with the caption "it's time >:)". Weeks passed, and she kept on teasing the aesthetic of the upcoming era, but not the sound of it, until, on early March, the snippet of the lead single, "I LUV IT", arrived.
Later, on Alex Cooper's episode with the singer for her podcast, Call Her Daddy, Camila talked about relationships and being in the public eye since she was very young as well as the creative and writing process for the record and playing Drake the new album. Around that time, rumors about the before fan-titled, CC4, actually being named C,XOXO started to spread; and, on March 22, took her twitter account and told her fans to "BELIEVE THE HYPE", confirming the project's name.
On the event "A Celebration of Women with Drive Performance" organized by Formula 1 held on the first week of May, Cabello sung an acoustic version of "I LUV IT" and premiered a brand new track, "20 SOMETHINGS".
On May 6, the album cover and release date were revealed to the public.
•"I LUV IT" featuring American rapper, Playboi Carti, was released as the album's lead single on March 27, 2024, along with an accompanying music video.
