Three Colours: White (French: Trois couleurs: Blanc, Polish: Trzy kolory: Biały) is a 1994 arthouse psychological comedy-drama film co-written, produced and directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski. White is the second in the Three Colours trilogy, themed on the French Revolutionary ideals, following Blue and preceding Red.
Shot in sapphire tones by Sławomir Idziak and set to an extraordinary operatic score by Zbigniew Preisner, Blue is an overwhelming sensory experience.
Three Colors: White. The most playful and also the grittiest film of Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Three Colors trilogy, White follows the adventures of Karol Karol (Zbigniew Zamachowski), a Polish immigrant living in France.
