Memphis Slim aka Peter Chatman is one of the best blues piano player without any doubt. He proves on this CD, which was recorded live in Paris, December 2, 1980. Only one local drummer, Michel Denis backed him. But I miss a complete band.

John Len Chatman (September 3, 1915 – February 24, 1988), known professionally as Memphis Slim, was an American blues pianist, singer, and composer. [1] . He led a series of bands that, reflecting the popular appeal of jump blues, included saxophones, bass, drums, and piano.
