PRISA Televisión, S.A.U (PRISA TV) is a pay TV company in Spain. History and profile. PRISA TV was established in 1989 and controlled (as of 2007) by PRISA. It was amongst the pioneer companies in the market to introduce interactive systems and specially digital television in Spain.

Prisa TV (anteriormente denominada Sociedad Gestora de Canal+ y más tarde Sogecable) fue un grupo de televisión de pago en España fundado en 1989 hasta su desaparición en 2015. Fue el pionero en la introducción de sistemas interactivos y principalmente de la televisión digital en España.
Prisa TV was the company's audiovisual division. In Spain, its predecessor Sogecable launched the country's first pay channel ( Canal+ ) and the first satellite payment platform (Canal Satélite Digital/Digital+), sold in May 2015 to Telefónica , giving birth to the current Movistar Plus+ platform.
