Gainsborough Pictures was a British film studio based on the south bank of the Regent's Canal, in Poole Street, Hoxton in the former Metropolitan Borough of Shoreditch, northeast London. Gainsborough Studios was active between 1924 and 1951.
This is a list of films made by the British production company Gainsborough Pictures and its parent company Gaumont British between 1924 and 1950. The Gainsborough brand was first used in 1924, although several films had previously been made by the company's founders under a different name.

Gainsborough’s achievements as a portrait painter are recorded through several head-and-shoulder portraits and outdoor conversation pieces from his early Suffolk period; images of aristocratic patrons in their finery from his Bath period; and large-scale portraits produced at the height of his career in London.
Mr and Mrs Andrews pose for Gainsborough under an oak tree at the point where their house’s park meets their arable farmlands. Behind them is a wide view looking south over the valley of the Stour, which is depicted with more accuracy than any other landscape by Gainsborough.
Thomas Gainsborough (baptized May 14, 1727, Sudbury, Suffolk, Eng.—died August 2, 1788, London) was a portrait and landscape painter, the most versatile English painter of the 18th century. Some of his early portraits show the sitters grouped in a landscape ( Mr. and Mrs. Andrews, c. 1750).
