Peter Knight (born 27 May 1947) is an English folk musician, a former member of British folk rock group Steeleye Span. Born in London, Knight learnt to play the violin and mandolin as a child before going to the Royal Academy of Music from 1960 to 1964.
Gigspanner is a band led by former Steeleye Span fiddle player Peter Knight, who creates innovative and atmospheric arrangements of traditional and original music. The band also features the Gigspanner Big Band with guest artists such as John Spiers and Edgelarks.
