Fred Steven "Skip" Heller (born October 4, 1965) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Although active in many different types of music as a performer, producer, and historian [2] coming out of the Philadelphia jazz scene, and in spite of local critical recognition, he did not make a large mark in his hometown.
Skip Heller is a versatile and eclectic country and roots musician from Los Angeles. He has released several albums, worked with various artists as a producer and arranger, and played with Yma Sumac and Les Baxter.
Skip Heller. Composer: The Magic Hours. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Heller was a prolific participant in the local bar band scene. A self-taught arranger-composer, he migrated to Hollywood in the late nineties, and set to work producing a series of critically-accclaimed independent records (both as artist and arranger/producer).
