Hard 'n' Heavy is the debut studio album by Canadian heavy metal band Anvil. It was originally released independently under the band name "Lips".
Anvil is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in Toronto in 1978. [2] The band currently consists of founding members Steve "Lips" Kudlow (vocals, guitar) and Robb Reiner (drums, percussion), along with bassist Chris Robertson (bass) who joined in 2014.

Hard 'n' Heavy is a great album if you're into long summer drives to the beach or if you suffer crippling nostalgia for the late 70s and early 80s when the Trans Am was the material pinnacle achievement of masculinity.

Positive reviews of the debut album ‘Hard N’ Heavy’ had been followed by the titanic (and essential) ‘Metal On Metal’ album. Following that was the almost as awesome ‘Forged In Fire’.
