The album was originally released on tour on October 31, 2005.It was later released through TDRS Music on December 2, 2005 making it the first album to be released on the label.
Like Island of Lost Minds, Inbred Mountain was originally released under the Bucketheadland name. Meaning that the album is directly a soundtrack to an attraction on Bucketheadland, an immaginary amusement park created by Buckethead.The album was later reissued and changed to Buckethead instead of Bucketheadland. Inbred Mountain is one of Buckethead's heavier releases. Loads and loads of sweet riffs define this album, but the rhythm work isn't the only thing going for this album, solos in Lotus Island and In Search of Inbred Mountain are breathtakingly spectacular.
