Tony Tenser. Producer/Film distributor. 9 August 1920 to 5 December 2007. An influential figure in 60s British cinema, Tenser and production partner Michael Klinger began making risqué exploitation movies and ended up backing Roman Polanski on Repulsion (1965) and Cul-de-Sac (1966).
Tony Tenser was, for most of the '60s and '70s, among the most inventive and ambitious of England's exploitation movie distributors and producers, responsible for films at every level from inexpensive nudie flicks to major, multi-million dollar international releases.
