Dec 23, 2022 · The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Todd Stein and Miles Yu Maochun, along with their close family members, would be banned from entering China. Any assets they had in China would be frozen and they would be barred from contact with people or organizations within China.
Todd Stein rejoined the CECC staff in November 2023, after having previously served as deputy staff director in 2021-22. He has worked on a range of foreign policy and human rights issues from the perspectives of the U.S. Congress, the Executive Branch and the non-governmental sector.
