Keith Bilderbeck is a sound editor and composer who was one of the sound editors on the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In 1988 he received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series for his work on the episode "11001001" which he shared with Bill Wistrom, Gerry Sackman, Wilson Dyer, James Wolvington, and Mace Matiosian.
In 1989 he received another Emmy Award nomination for his work on the MacGyver episode "Gold Rush" which he shared with Trek artists Miguel Rivera and Jon E. Johnson. Further awards include two Golden Reel Award nominations from the Motion Picture Sound Editors Society in 2001 for the war drama U-571, shared with Jon E. Johnson, Miguel Rivera, and Guy Tsujimoto, and in 2007 for the video game Need for Speed: Carbon, shared with Charles Deenen and Paul Menichini. In 2008 he won a Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Editing – Special Venue for his work on the documentary Sea Monsters: A Prehistoric Adventure. He shared this award with Miguel Rivera, Jon E. Johnson, and Cory Mandel.
As sound editor/ sound effect editor Bilderbeck worked on several feature films and video games including FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992), Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995, starring Tony Todd), Shadow of Doubt (1998), Payback (1999), A Knight's Tale (2001), Joy Ride (2001), An American Haunting (2005), The Astronaut Farmer (2006), Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008), I Love You, Man (2009), Surrogates (2009), You Again (2010), the video game Red Faction Armageddon (2011), and Dolphin Tale (2011, with Ashley Judd).
Bilderbeck also worked as composer on a number of films such as the horror film Crystal Force (1990), the science fiction film Cybernator (1991), the thriller The Killing Jar (1994), Voodoo (1995), the television movie Jurassic Women (1996), the thriller Final Vendetta (1996), and the short comedy Heart Attack (1998).
