About Kick the Machine. Founded in 1999, Kick the Machine Films is a studio of artist and filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul whose works deal with memory, subtly addressed personal politics and social issues.
Kick the Machine Screening Room is part of Kick the Machine Films, Chiang Mai, founded by filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul. The studio dedicates to film workshops, screenings, and productions. Oct 5, 2021 · The acclaimed filmmaker and his Kick the Machine Documentary Collective create a 21-minute video installation to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the 1976 massacre at Thammasat University. The video uses archival footage, survivor interviews and text to explore the darkest day in Thailand's history.
