Jamsetji Tata. Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata (3 March 1839 – 19 May 1904) was an Indian industrialist who founded the Tata Group, India's biggest conglomerate company. He established the city of Jamshedpur. [1] [2] Born into a Zoroastrian Parsi family in Navsari, his family had fled persecution in Persia, finding refuge in India.
