Eugenio "Eñing" Hofileña López Sr. ( Tagalog: [juˈhɛnjo ˈlɔpɛs]; July 20, 1901 – July 5, 1975) was a leading business figure in the Philippines. He was the founder of López Group of Companies. He belonged to the prominent López family of Iloilo, one of the leading political families in the Philippines .
Eugenio H. Lopez Sr., together with his brother Fernando, founded E and F Enterprises 84 years ago in Iloilo; this venture grew to become the Lopez Group of companies. Don Eñing passed away in the United States in 1975, a few weeks before what would have been his 75th birthday.
Early life and career. Lopez was born on April 13, 1904, in Jaro, Iloilo City to Benito Villanueva Lopez and Presentacion Javelona Hofileña. He was the younger brother and only sibling of Eugenio Lopez Sr. The Lopez family was the richest and most influential family in the province.
