The ten following films show the city in a realistic way. These films reflect not only the incredible range of ethnicities in the city but also the potential for both conflict and creativity engendered by different communities living on top of each other.
The Hood Trilogy is a series of British drama films. The film series began in 2006 with Kidulthood, which was followed by the sequels Adulthood and Brotherhood. The series focuses on the lives of several teenagers in the Ladbroke Grove and Latimer Road area of inner West London.
Kidulthood is a 2006 British teen crime drama film directed by Menhaj Huda and written by Noel Clarke, who appeared in the film alongside Aml Ameen, Red Madrell, Adam Deacon, Jaime Winstone, Femi Oyeniran, Madeleine Fairley, Cornell John, Kate Magowan, Pierre Mascolo (who also acted as executive producer), Rafe Spall and Nicholas Hoult.
