Gabriel Mascaro nasceu em Recife, capital do Estado de Pernambuco, em 24 de setembro de 1983. É graduado em Comunicação Social na Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). Iniciou sua carreira em 2008 com o documentário KFZ-1348, dividindo a direção com o cineasta Marcelo Pedroso.
