Aug 27, 2005 · Born in Yilan, Taiwan, Yuyu Yang (Yang Ying-Feng, 1926-1997) learned traditional calligraphy, painting, architecture and sculpture in Beijing, Tokyo, Taipei and Rome.
YANG Yuyu. 1926-1997. Born in I-lan, Taiwan in 1926, Yang studied architecture at the Tokyo Art School in Japan, and then studied fine arts at Fu Jen University in Beijing, and sculpture at the National Academy of Art in Rome.
The design for the Yuyu Yang Museum was completed in 1992 by renowned Taiwan sculptor Yuyu Yang, who has since passed away. Today the facility is run by his eldest son, Yang Feng-chen, who has achieved his own fame as an artist impresario.
