Ellis is a short film directed by JR and starring Robert De Niro. The motion picture awakens memories of the early years of the experience of one immigrant. The screenplay was written by Academy Award winner Eric Roth. The shooting took place in the abandoned Ellis Island Hospital complex.
I sat down at the harmonium, listened to Robert De Niro’s voice and played for the rest of the day. The result is ‘Winter Morning II,’ the B-side of the ELLIS soundtrack release. Robert says it all in 17 minutes.

There is a list of special awards received such as the Lifetime Achievement Award or Man of the Year . A nine-time Academy Award nominee, De Niro won two Oscars for playing Vito Corleone in The Godfather Part II (1974) and Jake LaMotta in Raging Bull (1980). He is also an eight-time BAFTA Award nominee, and a ten-time Golden Globe Award nominee.
