David Silverman (born March 15, 1957) is an American animator who has directed numerous episodes of the animated television series The Simpsons, as well as its 2007 film adaptation. Silverman was involved with the series from the very beginning, animating all of the original short Simpsons cartoons that aired on The Tracey Ullman Show .
David Silverman (born August 13, 1966) is an American secular advocate. Silverman previously served as president of American Atheists, a non-profit organization supporting the rights of atheists and the removal of expressions of religion in government, from 2010 to 2018.
David Silverman is a New York-born animator, producer and director who has worked on The Simpsons since 1990. He has also directed shorts, music videos and other animated films, and was nominated for an Oscar for Monsters, Inc.
