Roberto Nicolosi (November 16, 1914 – April 4, 1989) was an Italian jazz double-bassist and leader born in Genoa. Nicolosi learned piano, violin, guitar, trumpet, and vibraphone in addition to the bass, and worked extensively as an arranger, including for Kramer Gorni and Aldo Rossi.

Composer and conductor. Now recognized as one of the masters of Italian jazz, composer Roberto Nicolosi (Genoa, 1914 – Rome, 1989) started out as a dentist. In addition to getting his degree in medicine, he obtained a diploma in composition, piano and double-bass from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan.
